Visa and Consular Fees - Payment cards newly used for paying consular and visa fees at Embassy

As of 1 October 2025 a new method of paying visa and consular fees with an approved  electronic payment bank card is introduced at the Consular Section of the Czech Embassy in Accra. This addition to cash payments in GHS enhances the services offered to clients of the Embassy. Payments of fees are charged in EUR (Schengen visas) or CZK (all other consular and visa transactions) in accordance with the Czech Law on Administrative Fees.

The fees may change slightly each month, as they depend on the current exchange rate.

Fees paid by payment cards are collected in Czech crowns (CZK) for consular transactions such as legalisation, passports, long-term visas and in EUR for Schengen visas. Please note that banks may charge a transaction fee, so you may want to check this with your bank. Mastercard, Mastercard Electronic, Maestra, VISA, VISA Electron, V Pay, Diners Club, Discover, JCB, Union Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Garmin Pay are accepted.

Consular and visa fees can be still be paid in cash in Ghanaian cedi (GHS).
