General overview

Short term Schengen visa applicants please contact the Czech Visa Center in Accra operated by VFS Global.

Applicants for long term visa and long-term residence permit traveling to the Czech Republic make appointment for visa submission  with the Czech Embassy Accra by email only - all necessary instructions are in the article "Visa Appointment Booking".


We accept  Schengen visa applications from the citizens of Burkina Faso, Cote d´Ivoire, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Sao Tome and Principe and Togo. We  accept Schengen visa applications for Slovakia from Ghanaian citizens only. In these cases please contact the Slovakian Embassy in Abuja at first.

Calling hours for telephone inquiries:

As the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Accra  has limited capacity, please be aware that calls with visa and consular questions will be answered only on working days from Monday to Thursday between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. local time.



Working hours of Consular and Visa Section:
 

Monday: 08:00 - 12:00 (long-term visas/residence permits);

Tuesday: 08:00 - 16:00 (long-term visas/residence permits, consular service for Czech citizens, Czech POINT service);

Wednesday: 09:00 - 16:00 (Schengen short term visas by appointment only, interviews);

Thursday: 09:00 - 16:00 (interviews and interrogations for long-term visas/residence permits by appointment only);

Friday  9:00 - 11:00  (verification agenda booked by previous e-mail, document deposit at 9:00 only; consular service for Czech citizens, Czech POINT)

The Embassy of Switzerland in Abidjan accepts and issues Schengen short-term visas on behalf of the Czech Republic.

The possibility of submitting your application for a short-term visa at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Accra remains possible and the agreement with the Swiss Confederation does not affect it.
