TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION

In visa matters, the Embassy of the Czech Republic has the responsibility over the following countries:

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Kingdom of Bahrain
Sultanate of Oman
Republic of Yemen

In case of long-term visa / residence permit applications, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Riyadh is competent to accept an application only if the applicant is a resident with a long-term or permanent residence in Saudi Arabia / Oman / Bahrain or Yemen and has been residing there continuously for at least 2 years prior to the submission. This condition does not apply to citizens of Saudi Arabia / Oman / Bahrain or Yemen.

In case of Yemen, the jurisdiction is shared between the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Riyadh and the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Cairo. Applicants may submit their application at either of these Consulates.

In case of any specific queries, kindly contact us via email. The consulate responds to messages as soon as possible, no later than in 5 days.

The consulate does not provide information about a status of visa proceedings during the statutory period for processing the application.

The status of a long-term visa / residence permit application can be verified on the website of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic. The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Riyadh is not competent to decide on long-term applications and cannot influence the processing time.

Suggestions and complaints under Article 47(1), item (j), or under Article 38(5) of the Schengen Visa Code can be submitted via email riyadh.consulate@mzv.gov.cz.

The consulate does not communicate about visas through social media.

FEES

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Riyadh accepts payments by a bank card (in Czech currency), or in cash (in SAR according to the exchange rate determined by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic for each month).

It is also possible to accept payments via an online payment gateway, especially for services where the personal presence of an applicant is not required.

Please note that in case of cashless payments in Czech currency local banks may charge an additional fee.

LANGUAGE OF PROCEEDINGS

The official languages for the visa proceedings at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Riyadh are Czech and English. If an applicant for a long-term visa or residence permit does not speak either of these languages, it is their responsibility to arrange for an interpreter at their own expense.
