Visa and Consular Section

ALL appointments for visa applications need to be requested by e-mail only and must be confirmed. No visitor without an appointment will be allowed to entry the Consulate. Measures to contain the spread of the coronavirus are in place at the Embassy and must be respected.

HOW TO APPLY FOR A SHORT-TERM (SCHENGEN) VISA

Applicants holding residence permit in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain or Oman shall apply for a short-term (Schengen) visa at a VFS Global visa application center. Only particular categories of applicants (e.g. diplomatic/service passport holders, family members of EU citizens) may submit their applications directly at the Embassy, based on an appointment arranged via email. (Note: Yemeni citizens non-resident in Saudi Arabia need to apply directly at the Embassy).

For consular and visa issues contact the Embassy via e-mail riyadh.consulate@mzv.gov.cz. Kindly note that any unsigned messages will not be answered. Official language for communication is either English or Czech. E-mails in other langueages will not be taken into consideration.  

For appointments at the Embassy  (except Employee Cards/ seasonal work long-term visa appointments) an advance appointment is to be requested via e-mail riyadh.consulate@mzv.gov.cz (full name, nationality and ID/passport number is required).

 All consular and visa inquiries must be sent via e-mail (riyadh.consulate@mzv.gov.cz). No telephone inquiries will be taken into consideration.

The languages for communication with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Riyadh are Czech and English. Applicants for long-term visas and residence permits who cannot communicate in the above stated languages need to arrange, at their own expense, an interpreter.

Applications for long-term residence permits: If an interview is requested by the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic, not at the time of submission of the application but during the proceedings, the interview must be conducted in Czech Language only. Applicants need to arrange, at their own expense, an interpreter into Czech language for this purpose.
