Platform Culture – Central Europe
Platform Culture - Central Europe (PCCE) was founded at the inaugural Foreign Ministers session on the sidelines of the conference of Regional Partnership countries (Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, and Slovenia) on 6 June 2001. Slovenia pulled out of this informal group at a later date.
Platform Culture – Central Europe is an informal cultural dialogue forum. Its aim is to make the cultural life of participating countries better known both within and outside the EU. The Platform seeks to present innovative projects illustrative of the creativity and expressivity of local artists, drawing attention to the qualities that are unique to the region’s art. The emphasis is on the shared Central European cultural identity in the context of European integration.
At present, the Platform Culture – Central Europe stages common events twice a year. Since its establishment, it has presented more than fifty projects worldwide.
