OECD / DAC

The OECD’s Development Assistance Committee (DAC) represents the most developed countries of the world (development cooperation donors) and is considered the most important international forum for the coordination of development cooperation. The Committee monitors global development in a wider context and ensures the coherence of rules, while also providing strategic and statistical inputs necessary for the drafting and implementation of development cooperation rules and effectiveness.

The Czech Republic has actively participated in the activities of OECD/DAC working groups, until spring 2013 on the basis of an observer status. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic takes part in a number of DAC activities, such as ODA statistics, evaluation, as well as Peer Review methodology and results.

The Czech Republic has become a member of the DAC at its 964th meeting on 14 May 2013.

In 2016, Czechia was peer reviewed for the first time, by the OECD/DAC Secretariat, the Netherlands and Switzerland.

In 2023, Czechia was peer reviewed for the second time, by the OECD/DAC Secretariat, Ireland and Italy.
