To apply for a long-term visa/long-term or permanent residence, please make an appointment.

To apply for a Schengen visa, please contact the Visa Application Center in Baku.

In Azerbaijan, applications for Czech Schengen visas are submitted at the Visa Application Centre in Baku. Only family members of EU citizens, holders of diplomatic or service passports, members of official delegations and persons travelling for urgent humanitarian reasons may submit applications directly at the consulate. However, these applicants may also submit their applications at the visa application centre if they so choose. Family members of EU citizens and other applicants listed above may submit their applications for Czech Schengen visas directly at the consulate, but must always make an appointment in advance by e-mail: Baku.Consulate@mzv.gov.cz

All other applicants submit applications for Czech Schengen visas through the Visa Center in Baku and the appointment is booked on the website here.

Issuance of (Czech Schengen visas) passports attached to applications for Czech Schengen visas at the Visa Center in Baku (always only after the visa process is completed): Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 13:00 hrs. 14:00 - 17:00 hrs. The Visa Center in Baku always invites the applicant to collect the passport in advance via SMS.

Issuance (long-term visas/long-term and permanent stays) at the consulate: Friday, 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM - please present proof of travel health insurance before issuing the visa.

TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION

The Consular Department of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Baku processes applications for Schengen visas and long-term visas/long-term and permanent stays of citizens of Azerbaijan and long-term/permanent residents of Azerbaijan.

Citizens of Azerbaijan require a visa for short-term (up to 90 days) and long-term (over 90 days) stays in the Czech Republic/Schengen area.

Citizens of Azerbaijan do not require an airport transit visa for transit through an international airport in the Czech Republic.

Applicants who are residents of Azerbaijan, but not citizens, can apply for long-term visas/long-term and permanent stays at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Baku only if they have been residing in Azerbaijan continuously for at least 2 years - a copy of the Azerbaijani residence permit must be sent when ordering. If you do not meet this condition, please apply in your home country. Countries whose citizens are exempt from this obligation are listed here.

The Consulate usually responds to specific e-mail inquiries within 5 days. The contact e-mail address of the Consulate is: Baku.Consulate@mzv.gov.cz

The consulate does not respond to anonymous emails (i.e. emails that do not include the writer's name and surname).

The Consulate accepts telephone inquiries every Thursday (except Czech public holidays) from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The contact telephone number of the Consulate is: +994 102 304 741

The Consulate does not provide information on the visa procedure during the statutory period for processing the application. Once the application has been decided, the Consulate will contact the applicant without delay. The status of the application for a long-term visa / stay can be found here.

The Consulate does not use social networks to communicate about visas.

FEES

Visa/residence application fees are payable by credit card in Czech crowns (CZK) or in cash in euros (EUR) - the consulate prefers cashless payments.

LANGUAGE

The languages ​​that can be spoken during the visa procedure at the Consulate of the Czech Republic in Baku are Czech, Russian, English. If the applicant does not speak any of these languages, he/she is obliged to arrange an interpreter at his/her own expense for the procedure on applications for long-term visas and stays. Interrogations are always conducted only in Czech and an applicant who does not speak Czech is obliged to arrange an interpreter at his/her own expense (the applicant is always notified of this fact in writing in advance).

CZECH STATE HOLIDAYS - on these days the consulate is closed to the public:

January 1, April 3 to April 6, May 1 and May 8, July 5 and July 6, September 28, October 28, November 17, December 24 to December 26.
