To submit a visa application, schedule an appointment.

Visa applications are submited directly at the consulate.

Acceptance of Schengen visa applications: Monday - Thursday, 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Visa collection: Monday - Thursday, 2 - 3 p.m.  

Acceptance of long-term visa / residence permit applications: Monday- Thursday, 2 - 4 p.m.

Visa collection: Friday, 8.30 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 2 - 4 p.m.

Document verification: Friday, 8.30 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 2 - 4 p.m.

TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Yerevan accepts Schengen visa and long-term visa / residence permit applications of citizens and long-term/permanent residents in Armenia.

Citizens of Armenia need a visa for short-term (up to 90 days) and long-term (over 90 days) stays in Czechia / Schengen AreaCitizens of Armenia also need an airport transit visa for transit through an international airport in Czechia.

Applicants who are residents, but not citizens, in Armenia can apply for a long-term visa / residence permit at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Abuja only if they have resided in these countries for at least the past two years.

When registering your appointment, do attach a copy of your residence permit. If you do not fulfil this condition, do file your application in your home country. Countries whose citizens are exempt from this rule are listed here.

Visa Facilitaiton Agreement facilitating visa issuance is used when processing Schengen visa applications of citizens of Armenia.

Harmonized list of supporting documents is used when processing Schengen visa applications in Armenia.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Consulates can cancel visas after they had been issued if the applicant susequently changed the conditions (such as itinerary) upon which the visa was issued - in accordance with Art. 34(2) of the Visa CodeDo inform the consulate about any changes to your trip.

HOW TO CONTACT US

Please pay close attention to the visa information on this website and do not e-mail us with requests for general information that is available on the website.

The consulate usually replies to specific e-mail inquiries within 5-7 days.

The consulate prefers e-mail when communicating with public.

The consulate does not provide information on visa application status during the legal review period. The consulate notifies the applicant as soon as the decision is made. You can check the status of your long-term visa / residence permit application here.

Complaint according to Art. 47(1)(j) as specified in Art. 38(5) of the Visa Code can be sent to the e-mail addressyerevan.consulate@mzv.gov.cz.

The consulate does not use social networks to communicate about visas.

FEES

Visa / residence permit fees are collected upon application submission 1) in cash in EUR or 2) by bank card in EUR (when applying for Schengen visas) nebo CZK (all other).

LANGUAGE

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Yerevan communicates in Czech, Russian and English when processing visa and residence permit applications. If the applicant understands neither of these languages, he/she must arrange for an interpreter when applying for a long-term visa / residence permit, at his/her costs. Examinations are conducted in Czech only. If the applicant does not speak Czech, he/she must arrange for an interpreter for the purposes of examination, at his/her cost.

The consulate also remains closed to public during Armenian public holidays.
