Translators and Interpreters based in Czechia
Based on information from the Ministry of Justice, we would like to draw your attention to the fact that as of 1 January 2026, many translators have lost their authorization to perform translation and interpreting activities. The transitional period, during which translators had the opportunity to obtain new authorization under the updated legislation, has come to an end. When selecting a translator, it is therefore necessary to properly verify whether the individual is listed in the valid register of court interpreters and translators.
We recommend that when searching for a court translator in the Czech Republic, you use the public register of experts and interpreters at https://seznat.justice.cz, where you can check whether a particular translator holds valid authorization to perform this activity.
