list of translators

The Consulate General does not provide translation services, we can only verify a translation executed by a qualified translator. We can not accept translations done by applicants themselves.

The translations submitted to us must always be executed by a qualified translator registered in, either the UK or the Czech Republic. Furthermore, translations by qualified translators registered in the UK only must be verified by the Consulate General for an additional fee to be acceptable in the Czech Republic.

It is best to use the services of translators registered in the Czech Republic as ‘court-appointed’ or ‘sworn’ as there is no need to verify their translation further. You can choose one of those who reside in the UK, from the list below (written in bold), or find one directly in the Czech Republic.

useful information for social care institutions

A Court/Care Order with an apostille and Article 39 for any looked after child must be translated into Czech by a Czech court-appointed translator - not one registered in the UK only (written in bold on the list below). Translations of these court documents cannot be verified by the Consulate General.
