Elections to the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Will Be Held in Los Angeles on October 2 and 3, 2025
By decision of the President of the Republic, elections to the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic have been announced. In Los Angeles voting will take place on Thursday, October 2, and Friday, October 3, 2025. Based on a draw by the State Electoral Commission, votes cast in the USA will be counted in the Central Bohemian Region.
At a diplomatic mission of the Czech Republic abroad, Czech citizens over the age of 18 are entitled to vote in elections to the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic (PSP) and in presidential elections.
In the United States, it is possible to vote at Czech diplomatic missions, namely at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Washington, the Consulate General in Chicago, the Consulate General in New York, and the Consulate General in Los Angeles (CG Los Angeles). It is not possible to vote at Czech honorary consulates. Starting in 2025, it will also be possible to vote from abroad by postal vote.
According to § 8 paragraph 2 letter f) of Act No. 634/2004 Coll., on Administrative Fees, all acts related to exercising the right to vote are exempt from fees.
In the above-mentioned elections, voters may vote at the diplomatic missions listed above if they are registered in the special electoral register maintained by the respective diplomatic mission, or if they have a voter certificate issued for the given election by the competent municipal authority where the voter is registered in the general electoral register, or by the diplomatic mission where they are registered in the special electoral register.
A voter registered in the special electoral register abroad may also vote in elections to the European Parliament, the Senate, or regional assemblies, but only on the territory of the Czech Republic, under the conditions outlined here:

Information on how to register or be removed from the special electoral register can be found below.
Instructions for applying for a voter certificate are available here: issuance of a voting certificate
Ways to apply for documents required for postal voting can be found here: to request postal voting.
Request for Issuance of Documents for Postal Voting
Applications for the issuance of documents for postal voting may be submitted from the day the date of the election is announced by the President of the Czech Republic. The deadline to register in the special electoral register is 40 days before election day; the deadline to request postal voting documents is 35 days before election day.
The Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Los Angeles does not send confirmations of receipt of applications for registration in the special electoral register, nor confirmations of receipt of applications for the issuance of documents for postal voting, nor confirmations that these actions have been carried out. The law does not require this and the consulate’s capacity does not allow for it. Requests for such confirmations are therefore considered irrelevant. Thank you for your understanding. If an application contains errors that prevent it from being processed and includes valid contact information (mailing address, email, phone number), the applicant will be contacted and asked to correct the issue.
ATTENTION! A common mistake in mailed applications is the lack of an officially certified signature. The applicant's signature on the application must be certified by a Czech Honorary Consulate or by any U.S. Notary Public. This applies both to applications for registration in the special electoral register and to applications for the issuance of postal voting documents. Applications submitted via data mailbox or the Citizen Portal do not need official certification, as the applicant's identity is verified through these electronic means.
ELECTIONS IN 2025
Elections to the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic will take place on October 3 and 4, 2025. -
Thursday, October 2, 2025, and

Friday, October 3, 2025,
from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. PST on both days.
The polling station is located on the 11th floor of the One Westwood building at 10990 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90024. Access to the polling station is not via the main entrance to the consulate’s offices in Suite 1100, but through the doors to Suite 1120, where the consulate’s "Clara Vostrovsky Winlow Library" representation space is located.

The voter will download and print the ballot with candidates from the Central Bohemian Region from the website of the Ministry of the Interior, according to the postal voting instructions.
