Applicants for long-term visas and residence permits are advised that all supporting documents attached to these applications must be in Czech language only. Documents issued in other languages must be officially translated into Czech, otherwise they will be considered as not submitted.

The Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Istanbul does not translate these documents for capacity reasons.

The requirement stems from § 169(2) of Act No. 326/1999 Coll., on Residence of Foreign Nationals in the Czech Republic, as amended.
