In the complex situations relating to traffic accidents, the honorary consulate may assist Czech nationals by facilitating contact with relevant local authorities and medical facilities, and, where appropriate, by assisting with interpreting when dealing with local authorities, police or medical personnel. This includes situations when an accident report needs to be drawn up or when the police must be called to the scene. Each case must always be assessed individually, taking into account the specific circumstances.

The honorary consulate must immediately report the case to the consular section of the supervising head of mission and follow its instructions.
