Situations not considered an emergency

Situations, where Czech nationals travel abroad without sufficient money or without a return ticket and find themselves in distress as a result, are not considered emergency situations.

Situations not considered as emergencies typically include cases where Czech nationals travel abroad to visit friends or relatives or to seek employment without a return ticket, without sufficient money and without adequate resources to support themselves during their stay abroad.

In such cases, the traveller may be considered to have been in distress already prior to travelling abroad. Individuals who knowingly travel abroad without sufficient money cannot expect any financial assistance from state authorities.
