If a Czech national is arrested or detained, the honorary consulate may assist mainly by:

• - informing the supervising post and following its instructions,
• - providing a list of local lawyers and interpreters,
• - ensuring that the national's rights are observed in accordance with the local legislation and international treaties.

The honorary consulate may not interfere in ongoing criminal proceedings.
