May 4–5, 2026: State visit of the President of Finland to Prague
Finnish President Alexander Stubb met with his counterpart, President Petr Pavel, in Prague. The delegation talks focused primarily on security issues, strengthening the European pillar of NATO, support for Ukraine, and the shifts in US foreign policy. President Stubb was also received by the First Vice‑President of the Senate Jiří Drahoš and the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Tomio Okamura. On the second day of the visit, the presidents began their programme with a joint run and then opened the Czech‑Finnish business forum. President Stubb was accompanied by a delegation of representatives from 26 Finnish companies operating in construction, healthcare, defence, and technology sectors. The programme continued with talks with Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, focusing, among other topics, on security and healthcare. In the afternoon, Presidents Stubb and Pavel spoke at the conference Europe as a Task, and the programme concluded with a meeting with students of the College of Europe and former trainees in EU institutions.
