Appointment - Purposes of Scientific Research, Cultural, Sport, Health or Other Purposes
Applications for long-term visa/residence permit for scientific research, cultural, sport, health, and other purposes are accepted by appointment arranged via hanoi.consulate@mzv.gov.cz.
When requesting an appointment to submit an application for a long-term visa/residence permit for scientific research, cultural, sport, health and other purposes, please attach:
- scan of the data page of your travel document
- scan of proof of the purpose of your stay:
- a hosting agreement issued by a scientific institution in the Czech Republic
- confirmation from a natural or legal person engaged in cultural activities in the Czech Republic
- professional player contract concluded between the player and a club in the Czech Republic
- e.g., ongoing medical reports, confirmation of surgery, invitation, confirmation of hospitalization
- confirmation of the purpose of the official visit to the Czech Republic
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Hanoi will verify the purpose of the stay with the inviting entity and, within its available capacity, will assign an appointment.
If the applicant will be traveling with a spouse and/or minor children, their names, type of visa/residence permit, and purpose of stay must also be stated.

Based on Regulation of the Government of the Czech Republic No. 220/2019 Coll. of August 26, 2019, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Hanoi does not accept applications for long-term visas for business purposes.
