CTU in Prague Launches Starting Grant Program for Early-Career Researchers

The Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU) has announced a new funding opportunity designed to attract outstanding early-career researchers with strong international experience. The "ČVUT Starting Grant" program aims to support promising scientists who wish to establish their own independent research groups and further develop their academic careers in the Czech Republic.
The program is open to researchers up to eight years after completing their Ph.D. and is intended both for international scholars and Czech researchers currently working abroad who may be considering returning to the Czech research environment.
Through this initiative, CTU seeks to strengthen its international research profile and provide young scientific leaders with the resources and institutional support needed to launch ambitious research agendas.
Program Highlights
Successful applicants will receive:

Annual funding of up to CZK 4,000,000 (approximately EUR 160,000) for up to three years

Institutional support and a perspective of a tenure-track position

A strong emphasis on research leadership development

A one-time relocation package of up to CZK 250,000 (approximately EUR 10,000)
The program is designed to provide early-career researchers with both financial support and a stable institutional environment in which they can build teams, pursue innovative research, and develop their leadership skills.
