Prague - Kyōto

The ties between the two cities were formalized on 15 April 1996 by signing the Partnership Declaration. In this document, the City of Prague and the City of Kyoto expressed their interest and readiness to continue in cooperation, primarily in the areas of culture, city- and local-government and the protection of historical monuments.
