Visits of the Czech representatives to Sweden
February 1: Štefan Füle, Special Envoy for the OSCE visited Stockholm.
Vladislav Smrž, the Deputy Environment Minister for the management of the environment and international relations section, visited Sweden with the delegation on March 30 - 31, 2017. The delegation met with Per Ängqvist, State Secretary for Environmental Affairs and Urban Development and Eva Svedling, Secretary for Climate Affairs. The delegation also met with vice president of the Swedish Environmental Research Institute (IVL) Östen Ekengren and with CEO of the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) Björn Risinger. Part of the program was a visit of the Stockby Returpark waste facility operated by SÖRAB company.
The Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka, accompanied by the Secretary of State for European Affairs Aleš Chmelař, visited Sweden to attend the EU Social Summit on Fair Working Conditions and Growth hosted by Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven and the EC President Jean Claude Juncker, on November 16 - 17, 2017.
Visits of the Swedish representatives to the Czech Republic
January 26 - 27: Consultations regarding the EU affairs between the Czech and Swedish Government offices.
A ministerial meeting in V4 format - Nordic-Baltic 8 (V4NB8) was held in Sopot, on May 30, 2017. At the meeting was the Czech Republic represented by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for European Issues Jakub Dürr and Sweden by the Political Director Anna Karin Eneström.
The Secretary of State for European Affairs, Aleš Chmelař, met with the Swedish Minister for EU Affairs and Foreign Trade, Ann Linde, within the GAC in Brussels, on September 25, 2017.
The Czech Republic was visited byt the Secretary of State of the Swedish Ministry of Defense, Jan Salestrand, who led the mission of Swedish companies at the Czech-Swedish Defence Industry Days, on October 9 – 10, 2017.
