SCHENGEN VISA
It is obligatory for all visa applicants to make an appointment. No visa applications will be accepted without prior appointments. We recommend to plan the travel sufficiently in advance. If you plan to apply for a visa to come to the Czechia, please follow the process below:
1. Send your appointment request to submit a visa application to seoul.consulate@mzv.gov.cz in Czech or English. (We will not reply to appointment requests sent to our other emails.)
2. State the following in the e-mail subject: SCHENGEN VISA APPOINTMENT REQUEST + full name of the applicant
3. Provide the following information about the applicant: name and surname, nationality, purpose of stay, phone contact and e-mail address, date of departure, and address in Korea.
4. Attach a both-sided scan of the Alien Registration Card (in pdf format).
5. 1 applicant = 1 e-mail. Send only one e-mail. Each appointment is for submitting a single application, i.e. it is not possible to schedule one appointment for submitting the applications of a travelling group. The only expectation is when a parent requests for an appointment with their minor children (→ parent includes the minor children in the registration). In this case, the applicant sends one e-mail. Providing the requested information about all family members in the body of the e-mail and attaching all the requested documents.
6. Your e-mail will be registered in a queue in the order received. *
7. Each applicant will receive an information e-mail about the available/assigned appointment. This information is usually sent within 15 working days.
Note: The applicant will receive an appointment only if the e-mail fulfils all the necessary requirements above.
The processing period for the Schengen visa application is 15 calendar days from the date of verification of the application. This period may be extended to a maximum of 30 or 60 days. In this case, the applicant will be informed.
* The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Soul does not change the order of registrations. Appointments are scheduled in the order in which the registration e-mail was received, in accordance with the principle of transparency and predictability and based on the consulate’s capacity. Dates are always assigned chronologically to the next available date according to a queue of applications. Appointment cannot be rescheduled, the only exception is a request for a later date by the applicant. If you cannot attend your appointment, please contact us. If you do not use the appointment, you need to reschedule a new appointment according to the process above.
