Embassy of the Czech Republic in Lusaka accepts visa applications of citizens or residents of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Republic of Zambia, Republic of Malawi, Democratic Republic of the Congo.  

Visa applications need to be submitted in person. Only complete applications with all supporting documents will be accepted!

For citizens and residents of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Embassy of Belgium in Kinshasa is representing the Czech Republic for processing of Schengen visa applications. Long-term visa and residence permit applications need to be submitted at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Lusaka.

SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS

All visa applications must be made in person, during Visa Section working hours specified on this website. 

PROCESSING TIME

The processing time for short term visa takes minimum 15 days and 14 days for EU family members. In specific cases the processing time can be prolonged up to 45 days. The processing time for long term visa takes minimum 60 days (study purposes in accredited program), 90 - 120 days (other purposes).

COLLECTING DECISIONS and PASSPORTS

The decisions and / or passports can be collected in person at Visa Section during scheduled appointment, by the applicant.
