For citizens and residents of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Embassy of Belgium in Kinshasa is representing the Czech Republic for processing of Short Term (Schengen) visa applications. Long-term visa and residence permit applications need to be submitted at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Lusaka.

 

SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS

All visa applications must be made in person.

ONLY APPLICATIONS WITH THE COMPLETE FILE OF SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

ALL DOCUMENTS HAVE TO BE PROVIDED IN TWO COMPLETE SETS: ONE IS THE ORIGINAL SET,  AND SECOND IS THE COPY OF THE ORIGINAL SET. 

Please note that every person must submit all required forms individually. 

Each applicant is responsible for submitting complete, correct and up to date application. 

 

PROCESSING TIME

The processing time for short term visa takes minimum 15 days and 14 days for EU family members. In specific cases the processing time can be prolonged up to 45 days. The processing time for long term visa takes minimum 60 days (study purposes in accredited program), 90 - 120 days (other purposes).

 

COLLECTING DECISIONS AND PASSPORTS

The decisions and/or passports can be collected in person, by the applicant.
