Biogas Technology Towards Higher Resilience
The Czech Republic alongside its partners People in Need, Czech University of Life Sciences and the Keepers Foundation Zambia introduced biogas technology in the tons of Mongu, Nalolo and Kalabo.
This project aims to enhance climate resilience, increase food and nutrition levels for smallholder farmers, promote sustainable household energy, encourage the use and production of organic fertilizer and increase household income levels. Key activities include constructing a minimum of 130 biogas plants (per phase), training farmers in capacity building, financial literacy and business management, training 25 masons in biogas construction, establishing market linkages and value addition for bio-slurry to
increase household income and finally demonstrating the utilization of bio-slurry in aquaculture
