Small-Scale Projects
Every year the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic supports various initiatives that address specific needs while enhancing the capacities of various Zambian entities through Czech solutions, expertise and products and is aimed at tackling specific development challenges.
In 2024 the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs supported two small-scale projects:
1. Processing of Wild Oils in Mukuni (Livingstone)
The project served as a successful continuation of the first phase, which established a processing plant for wild oils, further supporting the emerging business. The aim of the project was to improve the livelihoods of women and youth while promoting sustainable environmental management. The second phase aimed at strengthening the enterprise into a growing business and increased its production and income.
2. Building Secondary School with Family House in Kashitu
This project was part of an initiative to build a secondary school in Kashitu, this small-scale project helped to build a family/teacher house to accommodate future staff. The school will offer a five-year study program, which will successfully address the critical shortage of secondary education in Kashitu. At the same time in 2024 a successful construction workshop occurred, where local volunteers were trained in brickmaking.
