
Summer School of Slavonic Studies 2025 – call for applications

Are you interested in the Czech language and improving your Czech in combination with a deeper knowledge of the culture and history of Czechia? Apply for the Summer School of Slavic Studies. The Summer Schools of Slavic Studies at universities in Czechia are offering intensive Czech language courses for the summer of 2025.
The Summer Schools of Slavonic Studies are three- to four-week Czech language courses organized by several public universities in Czechia, which take place annually in July and August.
The courses are intended chiefly for foreign students, experts (teachers, translators, interpreters) and academics in the field of Czech and Slavic studies who are at least 18 years old. However, due to their broad scope, they are also open to everyone else interested in the Czech language, literature, history and culture.
The Summer Schools of Slavonic Studies offer Czech language courses at various levels of proficiency, seminars focused on the Czech literature, culture, and history, leisure activities including theatre, music, and dance performances, excursions, sightseeing trips, etc.
This year there are 6 places available for students from the United Kingdom at these universities:
