Schengen Visa Appointment

Below you will find detailed information on how to schedule an appointment for a Schengen visa application at the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Hong Kong.

 

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Applicants are strongly advised to request a Schengen visa appointment at least 1 month prior to their intended date of travel.

 

Schengen visa applications are generally processed during the following hours:

Monday 09:30–12:30

Tuesday 09:30–12:30

 

How to Request an Appointment

All appointment requests must be sent exclusively to: hongkong.consulate@mzv.gov.cz  

Emails sent to other consular addresses will not be accepted.

 

The applicant must request the appointment personally.  

No third parties may act on behalf of the applicant, except immediate family members.

 

Required Email Format

 

Email Subject:  Schengen Visa Appointment – [Applicant’s Full Name] – [Passport Number]

 

The email must include the following information:

 

Applicant’s full name and surname

 

Date of birth

 

Travel document (passport) number

 

Nationality

 

Purpose of stay (e.g., study, family reunification, employment, business, sport, scientific research, invitation, etc.)

 

Applicant’s contact details (Hong Kong telephone number and email address)

 

Proof of legal residency in Hong Kong (HKID number; stay permit must be valid for at least three months after departure from the Schengen area)

 

Number of applicants (only family members may apply together)

 

Important Notes

Ensure that the Czech Republic is your main destination before applying for a Schengen visa.

 

Applicants will be contacted within 3 working days via email. 

 

Passports are retained by the Consulate until the visa is issued.

 

If you require your passport during the processing period, it must be returned to the Consulate at least 2 days before the scheduled visa issuance date.
