Czech digital health companies participated at the Radical Health Festival Helsinki

Due to an ageing population and a shortage of doctors and other medical staff, the digitalization of healthcare in Finland is booming and there are many opportunities for foreign players. On 13-14 June 2023, a group of Czech companies participated at the Radical Health Festival Helsinki and presented their innovative solutions in the field of digital and other modern healthcare technologies. They impressed not only the 800 visitors to the first edition of the Festival, but also other partners during several meetings that took place outside the exhibition.
This year, for the first time, an event called "Radical Health Festival" was held in Helsinki. Companies institutions and other major stakeholders in the field of modern healthcare technologies had the opportunity to present themselves within the exhibition space. The event also included expert seminars focused on possible solutions to acute problems in the healthcare sector, such as an ageing population, unsustainable funding systems, lack of prevention, bacterial resistance and shortages of healthcare staff. There is a need to seek innovative solutions to transform healthcare systems and ensure sustainability and accessibility of healthcare, with an emphasis on promoting and implementing effective digital solutions based on big data analytics.
Four Czech companies focusing on digital and other technologically advanced solutions in the field of healthcare participated in the first year of the festival at the Czech pavilion. Carebot uses artificial intelligence to help radiologists identify difficult-to-detect findings on X-ray images and substantially increases the accuracy and reliability of medical conclusions. Linet supplies not only hospital and nursing beds worldwide, but especially the highly advanced monitoring and rehabilitation technologies that are part of them. Re-medical has come up with a revolutionary comprehensive imaging method within a unique robotic system that flexibly combines a variety of available imaging techniques. The use of virtual reality to train medical personnel to operate sophisticated medical equipment, as well as for further education, is being explored by Virtual Lab.
