As of 1 July 2026, a numerical quota has been set for the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Bogotá for the acceptance of Employee Card applications outside targeted economic migration programs at 200 applications per year.
In connection with this change, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Bogotá will not allocate any new appointments for submitting Employee Card applications until the end of 2026. Applicants who have already received an appointment to submit their application by the end of November 2026 will retain their appointment. Applicants with an appointment scheduled for December 2026 will be informed about further steps during September 2026.
Appointments scheduled after 31 December 2026 will be cancelled without replacement, as a completely new registration system for submitting applications will be introduced for 2027 due to the quotas, incorporating an element of random selection.
Information about the new registration system will be published on the Embassy’s website no later than 1 December 2026.
