For submitting additional documents and for documents, passports and visas pick up visit the consular section from Tuesday to Friday between 9:00-10:00. For Syrian citizens: Announce your visit at the Embassy in advance so that the Embassy can notify the Lebanese General Security to facilitate your border crossing to Lebanon.

Appointment has to be made by email at this address only: Beirut.Consulate@mzv.gov.cz. Emails send to other email address will not be answered. Lebanese citizens and other citizens with valid residency in Lebanon are applying for Schengen Visa at  VFS Global in BeirutAddress of the Visa Centre: Hamra, Gefinor Bldg, Block A, 1st floor Beirut, Lebanon. Syrian citizens are applying for Schengen visas and longterm visas directly at the Embassy, Lebanese citizen are applying for longterm visas at the Embassy. Family members of EU citizens can always turn directly to the Embassy. 

HOW TO APPLY

Appointment has to be made by email at this address only: Beirut.Consulate@mzv.gov.cz. Emails send to other email address will not be answered. The email must be written only in Czech or English and must include:

• Subject: full name and nationality (as stated in the passport), visa type (short term/long term) and purpose of stay (e.g.: "ERASMUS+, study, family, etc.") 

1 applicant = 1 email. Only one applicant can be ordered in each email (only exemptions are children traveling with the parents)

• To arrange an appointment for a long-term visa/stay, you must also send a scan of the document stating the purpose of stay (in .jpg or .pdf format), e.g. confirmation of study, birth certificate, employment contract and a scan of the passport data page

In case the requested information is not provided, the appointment shall NOT be made. The Embassy will not be answering email that do not follow these rules. If you fulfill all the requirement your email will be added to the queue in the order in which it was received.

Applicants who are not citizens of countries within the jurisdiction of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beirut must also attach a document proving that they have been permitted to reside in the country within the jurisdiction of the Embassy for at least the previous two years. If residence cannot be proven, the applicant must submit the application in their home country.

The assigned date cannot be changed. If you do not arrive, your date will be forfeited. If you arrive late without prior apology, your date will also be forfeited - in such a case, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beirut will already be focusing on other applicants who arrived on time. 

 

WORKING LANGUAGES: The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beirut communicates in Czech and English when processing short term visas and visas and residence permit applications. If the applicant understands neither of these languages, he/she must arrange for an interpreter when applying for a long-term visa / residence permit, at his/her costs. Examinations are conducted in Czech only. If the applicant does not speak Czech, he/she must arrange for an interpreter for the purposes of examination, at his/her costs.
