
Partial reopening of visa section at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ulaanbaatar

Visa section of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ulaanbaatar has been operating in limited agenda in accordance with decisions of the Government of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic.
Effective from 1st July 2020 until further notice is visa section of the Embassy of the Czech Republic eligible to operate in the following limited agenda:
Reception of Schengen visas applications:
- for family members of Czech citizens or family members of EU citizens who reside in the Czech Republic;
- for applicants whose entry is in the interest of the Czech Republic;
- for international transportation workers;
- for critical infrastructure workers;
- for diplomats and international organizations officials;
- for seasonal employees;
- for the purpose of employment for workers in the food industry;
- for health care and social care workers and their family members;
- in exceptional urgent cases
Reception of long-term visas and long-term residence permits applications:
- employment cards for applicants accepted in Highly qualified workers programme;
- employment cards for applicants accepted in Qualified workers programme;
- applicants accepted in Key and research staff programme;
- long-term visas, long-term residence permits and permanent residence permits for the purpose of family reunification - only for husbands/wifes and minor children of foreigners with long-term residence or permanent residence permit in the Czech Republic (registration on family_ulanbaatar@mzv.cz);
- long-term visas and long-term residence permits for the purpose of study and other educational activities (registration on study_ulaanbaatar@mzv.cz);
- long-term visas for cultural purpose, sport purpose and purpose of "working holidays";
- long-term residence permits for scientific research (including family members of the applicants);
- entry D/VR visas (for example expired or lost permanent residence permit card)
Embassy of the Czech Republic is also eligible to issue D/VR visas (for purpose of collecting approved residence permit in the Czech Republic) and long-term D/VC visas (excluding cultural purpose, sport purpose and purpose of "working holidays").
Important notice: all holders of D/VR and D/VC visas are obliged to immediately announce their arrival to the Czech Republic at the regional public health authority and within 72 hours undergo RT-PCR COVID-19 test.
