Appointment registration procedure
An advance appointment for Schengen visa, long-term visa or long-term residence permit other than employment has to be made via Taipei.Visa@mzv.gov.cz. Subject of the email has to include applicant’s surname and purpose of a requested visa.

Schengen visa (up to 90 days)
Appointment has to be done by email to Taipei.Visa@mzv.gov.cz.
Long-term visa or residence permit (above 90 days)
Appointments has to be done by email to Taipei.Visa@mzv.gov.cz stating the purpose of stay.
Long-stay visa for the purpose of seasonal work and Employee Card:
1/ HOLDERS OF TAIWANESE PASSPORT AND APPLICANTS FOR QUALIFIED MIGRATION PROGRAMS:
Those interested in arranging an appointment for submitting employment applications, register at the e-mail address Taipei.Visa@mzv.gov.cz according to the following rules:
Conditions of the content of the registration e-mail:
1. In the subject of this e-mail must be the applicant's passport number. E-mails containing in the subject information other than the passport number itself will not be taken into consideration.
2. The content of the e-mail must include the following identification data of the applicant: name, surname, date of birth, passport number, contact telephone number and e-mail address.
3. A scan of the employment contract that will be submitted together with the application and a scan of the data page of the passport must be attached to the e-mail application (due to the limited capacity of the registration box the attachments should not be larger than 5MB).
2/ LONG-TERM VISA FOR SEASONAL EMPLOYMENT OF LONG-TERM / PERMANENT RESIDENTS IN TAIWAN (RANDOM DRAW)
In 2026, registration for receiving applications for long-term visas for the stated purpose will take place on the following days: January 2nd, April 3rd, July 3rd, October 2nd, always from 9:00 to 15:00 local time.

1. Send a registration e-mail on the above-mentioned day at the above-mentioned time to the e-mail address: taipei.employment@mzv.gov.cz.*
2. Indicate your passport number only in the email subject line.
3. In the body of the e-mail, unclude the following information: full name (as written in the passport), date of birth, type of visa and purpose of stay.
4. Attach the following attachments to the e-mail (in .jpg or .pdf format):
- Scan of current Taiwan residence permit (ARC)
- Scan of document proving your continuous residence in Taiwan for at least previous 2 years
- Scan of document proving the purpose of stay (Work permit under Section 96 (1) of the Employment Act. The same document must be submitted when submitting the application.)
- Scan of passport data page.
5. 1 applicant = 1 e-mail. Please send only one email. Only one applicant can be ordered in each e-mail. **
6. Your e-mail will be processed electronically by a system based on randomized element.
7. The following emails will be disqualified from the registration process:
- e-mails that will request for an appointment for purpose different than long-term seasonal employment visa
- e-mails that are not sent in the format according to point 2
- e-mails that do not contain attachments according to point 4
- e-mails by which the applicant attempts to register multiple applicants at once**
- e-mails that one applicant sends multiple times
- e-mails sent outside the above-mentioned registration period
- e-mails sent to a different e-mail address
- e-mails with attachments larger than 10 MB.
8. Wait for confirmation. CECO will inform you about the allocation or non-allocation of a date within 7 days.
9. If you do not receive an appointment confirmation within 7 days, it implies that your request was not drawn or was not sent in accordance with the terms and conditions of the registration process.
10. The assigned appointment cannot be changed. If you fail to show up for your appointment, the assigned date becomes invalid. If you arrive late without prior apology, your appointment will also be canceled.

**In order to ensure the functionality of the system, the mzv.cz domain antispam may identify attempts to send bulk registrations via software tools as spam. As a result, such registrations will not be processed.
No appointments are offered on Czech national holidays. During Taiwan official holidays, except of those that coincide with Czech national holidays, appointments are offered.
The official languages of the Czech Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei are Czech and English. Applicants for long-term visas and residence permits who cannot communicate in either of these languages need to arrange, at their own expense, an interpreter.
