The European Indoor Championships is a major international athletic event that is returning to the Czech Republic after 37 long years. The European Athletics Championship was last held in Prague at Strahov Stadium in 1978. The European Indoor Championship will be held from March 5– 8, 2015 at the 02 Arena and will be the highlight of the winter athletic season. Competitors from 50 countries of Europe will come to Prague to fight for the title of champion of the old continent. Spectators and fans of athletics will be presented with top European and Czech athletic teams, who will have the unique opportunity to show off in front of their home crowd. The home environment together with the support of Czech spectators will be great motivation for the athletes to do their best.
