Theatre: Sleep Disorders (Sömnstörningar)

Date: 09 April 2026 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Venue: moment:theatre, Gubbängsvägen 117, 122 45 Enskede

Virginia and Sylvia are stuck at a transit station, an inhospitable mezzanine in a limbo with brutal rules. Everything you have created in your life you will consume. Words, roles and life choices. Who was the most successful writer? Just when they think the story is finished, she steps in: the contemporary woman.

The play by Radka Denemarková Sleep Disorders will be possible to see for the first time on a Swedish stage on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at moment:theatre.

About

Sleep Disorders is a sharp, thought-provoking theatre piece that stages an imagined encounter between three women from different eras. In a strange transit space resembling a limbo, the figures of Virginia Woolf and Sylvia Plath confront their legacies, ambitions, and the expectations placed on women writers. When a contemporary woman enters, the conversation shifts, exposing tensions between tradition, creativity, success, and personal freedom. Blending dark humor with philosophical reflection, the play explores how identity, art, and societal roles continue to shape women’s lives across generations.

The performance will be held in Swedish.
