Stockholm Early Music Festival 2024: Christmas Concert by Anna Fusek
13.11.2024 / 14:36
You are invited to a Christmas baroque concert by musician Anna Fusek (CZ) and the Italian ensemble La Misticanza. The concert will take place as part of the Christmas edition of the Stockholm Early Music Festival on December 7, 2024, at 19:00 in Tyska Kyrkan, Gamla Stan.
Prague native Anna Fusek is renowned for her performances on the piano, baroque violin, and recorder. She collaborates with prominent orchestras such as the Venice Baroque Orchestra and the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, and she frequently performs as a soloist with leading European baroque ensembles. Beyond classical music, she also explores cross-genre projects, blending various musical styles. An example of this is her project Cosmology of the Pear, which combines early music with jazz, improvisation, and contemporary compositions.
You can listen to a sample of her work in collaboration with the La Misticanza ensemble HERE.
The Stockholm Early Music Festival annually presents music from the ancient, baroque, renaissance, and medieval periods and is regarded as the largest international early music festival in the Nordic region. The festival was founded by composer Peter Pontvik and is held under the patronage of Queen Silvia. This year, it took place from June 4 to June 9.
