General Information
The Czech Embassy issues Schengen visa for the Czech Republic to regular passport holders of Pakistan and Afghanistan.
For Pakistani passport holders, the Czech Embassy in Islamabad issues Schengen visa also for Slovakia.
NOTE: The application for long-term visa or residence for Slovakia are fully in competence of Slovakian authority, kindly contact the Embassy of Slovakia in Tehran.
CAUTION: From 27th September 2023, the Embassy will start accept ALL applications for short term visa at the Embassy´s address, more information available at News | Embassy of the Czech Republic in Islamabad (mzv.gov.cz).
SHORT-TERM VISA (SCHENGEN VISA)
The intended stay in the territory of Schengen states cannot exceed 90 days in any 180-day period.
It is possible to apply for :
- Single Entry visa (The applicant has never been in the Schengen Area)
- Two Entry visa (If the itinerary of the intended stay shows the applicant will travel outside of the Schengen territory and return back into.)
- Multi Entry visa (If the applicant demonstrates the necessity for or justifies the intention to visit the Czech Republic (or Slovakia) frequently, as well as proves his/her stays in the Schengen area for at least three times in last three years)

WHO CAN APPLY FOR SHORT-TERM VISA THROUGH THE CZECH EMBASSY IN ISLAMABAD
a) legal residents - citizens or long-term residents of Pakistan willing to travel to the Czech Republic or Slovakia
b) legal residents - citizens or long-term residents of Afghanistan willing to travel to the Czech Republic
Holders of diplomatic and official passports of Pakistan are free to enter the Czech Republic and Slovakia without visa if their stay in the territory does not exceed 90 days.
NOTE: Applicants file their applications in states where they hold citizenship or residency.
NOTE: Applicants file their applications at the embassy/consulate of the Schengen state that is the only or the main destination of their trip.
TIME TO APPLY FOR SHORT-TERM VISA AND VISA APPLICATION DECISION
Schengen visa applications should be submitted between 6 months and 15 days before the planned date of travel.
The processing time of visa decision is usually 15 days, can be extended up to 45 days whenever further examination is needed in cases of consultations, need of additional supporting documents etc.
