Appointments

SHORT TERM (SCHENGEN) VISAS

Applicants holding residence permit in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain or Oman shall apply for a short-term (Schengen) visa at a VFS Global visa application center. Only particular categories of applicants (e.g. diplomatic passport holders, family members of EU citizens) may submit their applications directly at the Embassy, based on an appointment requested at riyadh.consulate@mzv.gov.cz.

 

LONG TERM VISAS, RESIDENCE PERMITS

Applications for long-term visas and residence permits (for stays longer than 90 days) need to be submitted directly at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Riyadh.

An appointment for submission of a long term visa or residence permit application (other than employee card or long-term visa for seasonal work) has to be requested via riyadh.consulate@mzv.gov.cz. Subject of the email has to include applicant’s surname and type/purpose of the requested visa.

Employee Card Applications / Long-term Visa for the the Purpose of Seasonal Work:

 

The next registration for appointments in September - November will be on 19 August 2025 from 10 am till 4pm under the following requirements:

1. Send your request for an appointment at the above stated date and time to the following email address: riyadh.employment@mzv.gov.cz.

2. The subject of the email needs to state the passport number.

3.The content of the email must include the following:

  • name and surname,
  • contact telephone number,
  • contact e-mail address,
  • purpose of stay (employment card or seasonal work).

4. Obligatory attachments to be annexed to the email (in a pdf file, maximum 10 MB) are the following:

  • scan of ID page of the passport,
  • scan of the proof of purpose (employment contract),
  • in foreign residents - a scan of a valid residence permit in KSA/BHR/OMN/YEM.

5. Applicants who are not nationals of KSA/BHR/OMN/YEM need to prove (during the appointment) that they have been residing in the respective country based on a residence permit for at least 2 last years. (If not clear from the residence permit card, excerpt from the respective country immigration database can be presented). If the applicant cannot prove the stay, he or she needs to submit their application in their home country.

6. 1 applicant = 1 email. Send only one email. Each email can include only one applicant.

7. Your email will be automatically processed by a system based on a random selection element.

8. The following emails will be excluded from the registration:

  1.  emails where the subject does not comply with item 2) above,
  2. emails not containing attachments as per item 4) above,
  3. emails attempting to register more than one applicant,
  4. duplicate emails sent repeatedly by or in relation to one applicant,
  5. emails sent outside the registration period,
  6. emails with attachments exceeding 10MB.

9. Await the confirmation. The Embassy will inform you within 7 days if you have been granted an appointment.

10. If you have not been confirmed an appointment by the Embassy within 7 days from the registration date, it means your registration email has not been drawn or it has not complied with the registration conditions.

11. The attributed appointment date and time cannot be changed. If you do not appear for the submission in person at the Embassy at the given appointment, it is forfeited. If you arrive late for your appointment without excusing yourself in advance, your appointment is also forfeited.

 

The number of appointments for the respective period: 9

 

  • - The email address provided is intended solely for ordering visa/residence applications and is not used for general communication or answering questions.
  • - Attempts to send mass registrations using software tools may be evaluated as spam by the antispam of the mzv.cz domain in order to ensure the functionality of the system, as a result of which these registrations will not be taken into account.

No appointments are offered on Czech national holidays. During Saudi official holidays, except of those which coincide with Czech national holidays, appointments are offered.

The official languages of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Riyadh are Czech and English. Applicants for long-term visas and residence permits who cannot communicate in either of these languages need to arrange, at their own expense, an interpreter.
