SHORT TERM (SCHENGEN) VISAS

Applicants holding residence permit in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain or Oman shall apply for a short-term (Schengen) visa at a VFS Global visa application center. Only particular categories of applicants (e.g. diplomatic passport holders, family members of EU citizens) may submit their applications directly at the Embassy, based on an appointment requested at riyadh.consulate@mzv.gov.cz. Note that Yemeni citizens non-resident in Saudi Arabia need to apply directly at the Embassy.

 

LONG TERM VISAS, RESIDENCE PERMITS

Applications for long-term visas and residence permits (for stays longer than 90 days) need to be submitted directly at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Riyadh.

An appointment for submission of a long term visa or residence permit application (other than employee card or long-term visa for seasonal work) has to be requested via riyadh.consulate@mzv.gov.cz. Subject of the email has to include applicant’s surname and type/purpose of the requested visa.

Employee Card Applications / Long-term Visa for the the Purpose of Seasonal Work:

  • - Citizens of Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain and Yemen:

Those interested in arranging an appointment for submitting employee card applications, register at the e-mail address riyadh.consulate@mzv.gov.cz as per the below stated rules.

  • - Third country nationals residing in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain or Yemen:

All residents who want to submit their long term visa/stay at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Riyadh must prove that they have been staying in KSA, Oman or Bahrain legitimately and continuously for at least 2 years. In case they are not able to prove it, the application may not be accepted by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Riyadh and needs to be lodged at the Czech embassy accredited for their home country.


Next e-mail registration will  take place on November 14th, 2024 from 10 a.m. till 4 p. m. (Saudi time). E-mails delivered before this date will not be taken into account. It is recommended to send the registration email rather sooner than later to make sure it is received in the registration mailbox within the registration time. Those interested in arranging an appointment for submitting employee card applications, register at the e-mail address riyadh.employment@mzv.gov.cz according to the following rules:


Conditions for sending a registration e-mail:

Each applicant may send only one e-mail, registering only himself/herself. If one applicant sends more than one e-mail within the given deadline, he/she will be automatically excluded from registration, even if the e-mails are sent from different e-mail addresses. The exclusion notice will only be sent to the applicant's first duplicate email detected.


Conditions of the content of the registration e-mail:

1. SUBJECT - The subject of the registration e-mail must state only applicant's passport number. E-mails containing in their subject any other information will not be taken into consideration.

2. CONTENT - The content of the e-mail must include the following identification data of the applicant:

  • name and surname,
  • date of birth,
  • contact telephone number,
  • contact e-mail address,
  • purpose of stay (employment card or seasonal work).

3. ATTACHMENT - The attachment of the registration email should contain the following scans in pdf format (Note that total size of the email should not exceed MB):

  • ID page of the applicant´s passport
  • employment contract that will be submitted together with the application
  • third country nationals need to attach a scan of their residence permit valid for at least 2 years (as per above). Note: Iqama is not sufficient as it does not prove the length of residence stay.

 

In case the above stated requirements are not met, the registration will be considered invalid and will not be taken into consideration. It will be excluded from processing without further reply to the applicant.

Upon submission, the documents provided in the attachment of the registration email need to be submitted.

Please note that attempts to send registrations in bulk using software tools may be identified as spam by the antispam security of the mzv.cz domain in order to ensure the functionality of the system for all applicants. Such registrations will not be taken into account. Registration e-mails that have sender-activated functionality of “not being able to send a reply from the mailbox”  to which they are delivered will be excluded from registration.

The electronic email registration works with an automatic random element in the selection procedure. In case of a successful registration, the specific date for an appointment will be sent to you via your contact e-mail. The given date is fixed and can not be changed. 

 

The appointments for long-term visas / residence permits at the Embassy are offered as per the following:

No appointments are offered on Czech national holidays. During Saudi official holidays, except of those which coincide with Czech national holidays, appointments are offered.

The official languages of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Riyadh are Czech and English. Applicants for long-term visas and residence permits who cannot communicate in either of these languages need to arrange, at their own expense, an interpreter.
