A piano concert of classical music by Filip Martinka from Prague took place on 18 June at the Austrian Hospice in Jerusalem.
The Czech Representative Office in Ramallah organised, in cooperation with Austrian Hospice, a piano concert by Filip Martinka from Prague. The concert took place at the Austrian Hospice in the Old City of Jerusalem on 27 June. The pianist performed the following compositions:
Joseph Haydn Sonata in A flat major Hob. XVI:46
Allegro moderato
Adagio
Finale. Presto
Fryderyk Chopin Polonaise in f sharp minor op. 44 „Tragic“
Bedřich Smetana Consolation (from the cycle Rêves /Dreams/)
Fryderyk Chopin Scherzo no 3 in c sharp minor op. 39
Maurice Ravel Jeux d’eau /Fountains/
Sergei Rachmaninoff Prelude in B flat major op. 23, no 2
The concert was attended by members of the diplomatic corps, musicians, compatriots and others. The superb performance by Filip Martinka was appreciated by the audience who gave him a standing ovation.
