
Famous Norwegian writer Thorvald Steen presented his latest novel at the Ambassador's Residence

On October 10th, 2019, the novel Det siste fotografiet (The last photograph) written by Thorvald Steen was presented at the residence of the Czech Ambassador. The book was introduced for the very first time.
After the introduction by Ambassador Jaroslav Knot, Thorvald Steen introduced his new book, which is a stand-alone sequel to the successful novel Det hvite badehuset (White Spa House).
At the beginning of the evening, Thorvald Steen confessed to his love for the Czech Republic, which he considers to be a very developed and inspiring country, not only in the field of culture and sports. He also paid tribute to his sports idol Jiří Raška.
Thorvald began the presentation of his new work by the reading of the introduction to the first chapter of the novel and then he talked about the motivation that led him to writing the book. At the end, maestro Steen answered questions from the enthusiastic audience.
The event took place in a friendly atmosphere and visited by many people. The Embassy is pleased to announce that the current Norwegian Ambassador to the Czech Republic, H. E. Robert Kvile, and the former Ambassador of Norway to the Czech Republic, H. E. Peter Raeder, also attended this cultural event.
