OFFICE HOURS FOR PUBLIC – BY APPOINTMENT
Monday and Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. and 2 - 3:30 p.m.
Applicants submit Schengen visa applications in visa centers. Family members of EU citizens, holders of diplomatic or service (official) passports, members of official delegations, and persons travelling in urgent humanitarian situations can apply directly at consulate. These categories of applicants can however still choose to submit their applications in visa centers. To apply for a Schengen visa directly at consulate, schedule an appointment: mumbai.visa@mzv.gov.cz
All other applicants must apply for Schengen visas through visa application centers, and appointments must be booked on their website.

TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION
The Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Mumbai accepts Schengen visa from Indian citizens and long-term/permanent residents in India who live in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, and the union territories of the Lakshadweep, Puducherry, Dadra and Nagar, Haveli and Daman and Diu (other Indian states and territories fall under the jurisdiction of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Delhi).
Indian citizens require a visa for both short-term (up to 90 days) and long-term (over 90 days) stays in Czechia / Schengen Area.
Citizens of India also need an airport transit visa for transit through an international airport in Czechia.
Harmonized list of supporting documents is used when processing Schengen visa applications in India – prepare them before applying.

The consulate usually replies to specific e-mail inquiries within 5 days. The consulate does not respond to anonymous inquiries.
The consulate provides phone consultations only on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
The consulate does not provide information on visa application status during the legal review period. The consulate notifies the applicant as soon as the decision is made.
Complaint according to Art. 47(1)(j) as specified in Art. 38(5) of the Visa Code can be sent to the e-mail address mumbai.consulate@mzv.gov.cz
The consulate does not use social networks to communicate about visas.
FEES
Visa fees are collected upon application submission by card in Euro (EUR) or in Czech Crowns (CZK).
LANGUAGE
The Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Mumbai communicates in Czech and English when processing visa.
