Launch of the Moscow Human Rights Mechanism in Belarus

At the meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council, the Ambassador of Canada, on behalf of the 38 participating states, including the Czech Republic, announced the launch of the Moscow Mechanism to produce an independent report assessing the human rights situation in Belarus in the light of the ongoing pressure on human rights activists, journalists and ordinary citizens. The final report is expected to be published in May.
