Ambassador Ivo Šrámek presented a Report on the work of Human Dimension Committee at the OSCE Permanent Council Meeting on 19th December 2019

The Czech Republic is chairing the Human Dimension Committee in 2019. As a main priority of the Committee Ambassador Šrámek mentioned human rights and fundamental freedoms in the whole OSCE region. In this connection he emphasized the role of the civil society, democratic institutions, human rights defenders and the independent media.
The work of the Committee was highly appreciated by the EU member states and Alliance partners. The Czech Republic as the Chair of the Human Dimension Committee in 2020 is committed to continue its cooperation with all participating states on establishing a work programme aimed on current challenges in the OSCE region.
