World Economic Forum
The World Economic Forum is, in its own words, an independent organisation dedicated to improving the global situation through collaboration between business, policymakers and academics. Czechia is seeking closer cooperation with the WEF and the involvement of Czech entities in its activities.
The World Economic Forum (WEF) is, in its own words, an independent international organisation seeking to improve the state of the world by engaging businesses, leading politicians and academics in shaping global, regional and industrial agendas. According to Professor Klaus Schwab, founder and executive chairman, the need for such a forum stems from the increasing complexity and interdependence of elements of a globalised world in which the boundaries between economic, social and political issues are blurring.
Czechia, although it has no rights or obligations in relation to the WEF, has long sought closer cooperation and involvement in the Forum's activities at various levels - from participation in summits to the possible involvement of Czech entities, whether companies or individuals, in WEF networks.
