The Consulate General will offer applicants who are eligible to apply for a passport a specific appointment to submit their application. Due to high demand and the heavy workload of consular staff, passport applications during consular days may be submitted by appointment only.

For applicants who cannot submit an application for any reason (for example, because they do not have a valid proof of citizenship or a civil registry document, or have never held a proof of citizenship), the Consulate General will discuss the possibility of applying for the documents needed to submit a passport application at a later date.

Travel documents that have already been issued following applications previously submitted at the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Los Angeles will also be handed over during consular days. Note: The mobile workstation cannot currently be used to process applications for Czech national identity cards.

For organizational reasons, consular days will be devoted primarily to passport services, which can only be provided in the applicant’s personal presence.

Applicants interested in a consular service other than submitting a passport application (e.g., certification of signatures and copies of documents, applications for criminal record extracts, civil registry documents, certificates of Czech citizenship, or registration on the special electoral roll maintained by the Consulate General in Los Angeles) are asked to contact our office at losangeles.consulate@mzv.gov.cz for further information.
