Notice for Clients of the Consular Section During Notting Hill Carnival

On 30 and 31 August, the annual Notting Hill Carnival will take place near our Embassy. As the event attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors every year, heavy crowds, road closures and disruptions to public transport are expected throughout the area.
Several roads in west London will be closed, a number of bus routes will be diverted, and some Underground stations may operate under special arrangements, including one-way systems, controlled entry or temporary closures. Visitors are therefore advised to allow extra time for their journeys and check travel information before departing.
The Consular Section of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in London will be open on Monday 31st of August only from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
During this time, services will be limited to:
- clients with a pre-booked appointment;
- collection of passports;
- collection of ID cards.
We appreciate your understanding and recommend that all visitors take possible transport restrictions related to the Notting Hill Carnival into account when planning their visit.
