CZEXPATS Interview: Petra Freddi, Senior Director Milken Institute

How does a Czech woman get to the top of one of the world's most prestigious think tanks? What is the difference between living and working in Europe and Asia? And is being Czech rather an advantage or a disadvantage for an international career? All this and more in our interview with Petra Freddi.

Petra Freddi is the Senior Director of Milken Institute, an economic think tank founded by American financier Michael Milken in 1991. She comes from Prague, where she studied at the University of Economics. Immediately afterwards she went abroad, specifically to study at the prestigious French business school HEC in Paris. She then worked for several years in London in private equity. She continued to work in the same sector after moving to Singapore, where she worked for Apollo Management for several years. Since 2015, she has been working for the Milken Institute, first in Singapore for 6 years and then in London since 2022, from where she oversees the Institute's activities across Europe.

Around 100,000 people of Czech citizenship or origin currently lives in the United Kingdom. Among them, we can find many important personalities, but also individuals with unique personal stories. We decided to introduce you the most interesting of them in our project “CZEXPATS Interviews”, this time with the Senior Director of Milken Institute, Petra Freddi.
