
Czech Republic joins the NATO Mountain Warfare Centre of Excellence

On November 16, 2022 the National flag of the Czech Republic was raised at the NATO Mountain Warfare Centre of Excellence in Poljče.
The ceremony was opened with the speeches of H.E. Mr. Juraj Chmiel, Ambassador of the Czech Republic, and Colonel Borut Flajšman, Director of the NATO MW COE, who took the opportunity to congratulate the new Sponsoring Nation.
After that Lieutenant Colonel Petr Kříž, the Czech Representative at the NATO MW COE, solemnly handed over the National flag of the Czech Republic to the Ambassador, who together with the Colonel Flajšman raised it up.
The Centre has been in existence in Slovenia for 7 years and its one of 28 NATO Centres of Excellence around other NATO member states.
