Advanced Diplomatic Programme

The programme of advanced diplomatic training is designed for experienced diplomats holding senior positions or preparing themselves for such positions.

It aims to enhance managerial competencies and negotiating skills, as well as deepen their awareness of issues closely related to working at a senior level.

This programme is tailored to the individual after consultation and consideration of the diplomat’s past experience, skills and continuing professional development needs. Graduation from this programme is subject to successfully completing the study plan and attending lectures and seminars. Some of the courses offered include management skills, time management, assertiveness, media skills and the financial management of foreign missions.

The programme of advanced diplomatic training started in 2013 and replaced the advanced diplomatic preparation (DA2), which was successfully completed by more than 280 diplomats.
