The two main instruments for international cooperation among the European Union Member States are the European Diplomatic Programme (EDP) and Diplomatic Training Programme (DTP). On the other hand, the cooperation with countries outside the EU is based on signed Memoranda of cooperation or on ad hoc basis.

The Diplomatic Academy of the Czech MFA is also an active participant in the International forum on diplomatic training and maintains close contacts with various prestigious educational institutions as well.
