Call for Project Proposals to Support Economic Activities Abroad. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic announces a call for the submission of project proposals for the provision of services under the Czech Business Support (CBS) programme (projects supporting economic diplomacy abroad) for the year 2026. The Czech Business Support programme represents an economic diplomacy instrument focused on the long-term support of Czech companies abroad. The current call for project proposals closes on 2 March 2026.
Through the Czech Business Support (CBS) programme, accredited expert entities operating abroad, with the support of Czech diplomatic missions in the respective territory, provide specialised economic diplomacy services to Czech companies. These services are intended for companies that are already active in the given territory or are preparing to enter the target foreign market.
CBS projects represent a shift from supporting one-off business activities towards the systematic strengthening of the long-term and sustainable presence of Czech companies in foreign markets. The main objective of the programme is to support companies with an investment-oriented focus rather than purely export-oriented activities, to reduce risks associated with entering demanding foreign markets, and to strengthen the capacity of the Czech Republic to support long-term economic activities abroad.
Within the CBS programme, accredited expert entities operating abroad, with the support of the relevant diplomatic mission in the territory, may offer Czech companies in particular the following expert pro-export services:
- preparation of a business plan for market entry or investment implementation,
- preparation of legal, tax, financial and regulatory analyses,
- introduction of products to the market (including assistance with negotiations with financial institutions, support in opening bank accounts, securing financing, or establishing a company),
- assistance with obtaining licences, certifications, product registrations, and trademarks,
- preparation and verification of documentation for import, export, and logistics,
- creation and coordination of supplier and partner networks,
- provision of promotional, marketing, and PR services,
- support for launching production or commencing operations (in the case of service-sector companies),
- use of technical facilities.
The maximum financial support provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic amounts to CZK 300.000 per project, implemented within one embassy in a given calendar year. The current call for project proposals closes on 2 March 2026.
Individual services provided to Czech companies under the CBS programme are subject to mandatory co-financing by the participating companies, set at a minimum of 30% of the total cost of the services provided.
Further detailed information about the programme is available on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic in the section dedicated to the CBS programme.
Project proposals may be submitted using the CBS Project Identification Form (see annex) to the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Jakarta, no later than 2 March 2026.
Applicants interested in implementing projects may consult their project ideas in advance with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Jakarta via the e-mail address jakarta.commerce@mzv.gov.cz.
